Box Sizes for Paper Shredding
When you send boxed documents to our destruction facility to be shredded it is important that you meet the following guidelines:
Boxes need to be fully closed either with a lid or the flaps


Boxes need to be in good repair – the bottoms need to hold and the seams cannot be torn
Boxes need to be located at ground level

Box Sizing Guidelines
*Note: Boxes may get up sized if the box is bulging/over full.
Size 1 Box
Up to 1.3 cu ft

A file box that measures 12.5″ W x 10 ” H x 15″ L or a box for a case of 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper or a moving box measuring 12″ W x 12 ” H x 16″ L are considered a size 1 box.
Size 2 Box
Up to 2.2 cu ft

A large file box that measures 12.5″ W x 10 ” H x 24″ L and file box that measures 15″ W x 10 ” H x 24″ L are considered size 2 boxes.
Size 3 Box
Up to 3 cu ft

A box that measures 16″ W x 15 ” H x 22″ L is considered size 3 box.
Size 4 Box
Up to 4 cu ft
Boxes and totes larger than 3 cubic feet are considered size 4 boxes. We do not pick up boxes larger than 3 cubic feet unless you have it on a pallet.
